This one has a particularly special place in Under The Covers — because it was Katy’s very first recording.

There’s a vulnerability to this performance that you can hear from the very beginning. Before the confidence that grew through later recordings, there was simply Katy, a microphone and that slightly daunting moment of singing a song knowing it was actually being recorded.

And somehow, that suits this song beautifully.
